Heavy Metal From The Southern Part Of Buenos Aires | This Is Ilusor
A new project is on the horizon. It’s Ilusor, a traditional Heavy Metal band from the southern part of Buenos Aires, Argentina, which is preparing what will be its first album, the band’s debut, which is asking for a place on the national metal scene.
Ilusor began to take shape on December 8, 2021, in the city of Berazategui, Buenos Aires, Argentina, after Gastón Maydán (guitar) and Gavyromano (vocals) reconnected. With the aim of starting a new project that would bring them together musically again, they agreed on working methods and standards to lay the foundations. It should be noted that both members had already participated in a previous joint project years earlier. After the meeting, and almost immediately, Bruno Bilowus (bass) joined the band.
Compositions and recordings began following the established working guidelines. In order to close the circle, the band was also focused on finding a drummer, so they auditioned applicants who fit the profile that best suited the project. After several auditions and a moderate amount of time, the circle was closed with the arrival of Juli Giménez, who took over the drums in May 2023.
This project aims to bring together the fundamental characteristics of professionalism, attitude, passion, and dedication. It begins with the legal task of registering and patenting the name with the INPI (National Institute of Industrial Property). At this stage, the band is composing material for what will be their debut album and their projection on the national scene.
Ilusor is the sum of the wills of each member, trying to find its own characteristic sound that maximizes the communion of those who make it up.
