New Single And Music Video Give A Preview Of Their Upcoming Album | “Sonic Of Salvation” Is The Latest From August Burns Red
The well-known Metalcore band August Burns Red has just released a new music video. It features the track “Sonic Salvation,” with which the band is preparing us for their upcoming album titled “Season Of Surrenders,” set to be officially released on June 5 of this year via Fearless Records.
Incidentally, “Sonic Salvation” is a powerful track with which August Burns Red delves deeper into their well-known take on metalcore, this time featuring Jamie Hails of Polaris as a guest artist.

The music video in question shows the band playing in a sort of cave or rehearsal room, surrounded by “vintage” items and decor, while the footage features various fans of the band singing along to the song until the well-known Jamie Hails makes his entrance.
“Sonic Salvation” confirms that when it comes to Metalcore, August Burns Red is one of the genre’s finest current expressions, without sacrificing the fury and power that are so characteristic of them.
Indeed, what resonates most is a kind of chant of liberation and catharsis.“Fear, rage, frustration, and anger, fade away when the sound hits the speaker, down and out feeling doubt inside, drop the needle and change your state of mind,” is part of the lyrics to this powerful track, cleverly chosen as one of the lead singles from “Seasons Of Surrender,” their new album.

And as for this new track, let’s hear what August Burns Red has to say. “Sonic Salvation’ was the first song I wrote for Season of Surrender,” says Brubaker. “I set out to write a song that created more space for Jake vocally and leaned a little more into our hardcore influences. I love how this song came out and Jamie’s guest vocal really takes it over the top for me.” Luhrs also states that: “Sonic Salvation” is about finding power and strength in music. The fact that music can bring us back to a memory, help us decompress from the outside world and how music is what has created our world that is the metal scene.”

And speaking of this new album, August Burns Red is already in the midst of promoting it, currently in the middle of a promotional tour alongside The Amity Affliction, Boundaries, and Heavensgate—naturally within the U.S.—awaiting the official release of “Seasons Of Surrenders,” which, as we mentioned, will be officially released in June of this year, both on digital platforms and in physical format, and features, in addition to Jamie Hails, several notable guest appearances.
By the way, here’s a sneak peek at the tracklist for “Seasons Of Surrenders,” so you’ll know what to expect starting June 5:
