It looks like 2026 will start with a bang, and according to our friends at En Hakkore Records in Brazil, both Petra and Whitecross will be doing a mini tour of Brazil in January next year. Both bands will be performing on January 7 in Curitiba, January 9 in Belo Horizonte, and finally on January 10 in Sao Paulo. So far, those are the confirmed dates. This is perfect for anyone thinking about a vacation on the paradisiacal Brazilian beaches and, while they’re at it, seeing two legendary bands live.

But that’s not all. P.O.D. has just announced a tour with Demon Hunter (who have just released a new album) in Brazil, with no less than six shows scheduled for late 2025! The dates are December 6 in Rio de Janeiro, December 7 in Recife, December 9 in Curitiba, December 10 in Belo Horizonte, December 12 in Brasilia, and finally December 13 in Sao Paulo.

Logically, the question is whether Petra and Whitecross, as well as Demon Hunter and P.O.D., will be playing in other countries, including Argentina. The reality is that today, the answer is no. At least as far as we know, for now there is nothing at all, so don’t get your hopes up. It will depend on the producers in Argentina and other Latin American countries, and logically, on the bands.
Petra needs no introduction. They are a living legend with more than 50 years of activity as a band and a lineup that currently includes John Schlitt on vocals (as always), the legendary Bob Hartman on guitar, John Lawry on keyboards, Greg Bailey on bass, and our Argentinean credit, Cristian Borneo, behind the drums. Petra is presenting its latest release, “The Best For Last,” a compilation of the band’s classic songs.

In the case of Whitecross, the occasion is more than interesting. The reformulation of the band, led by Rex Carroll and the band’s historic drummer Michael Feighan, adding David Roberts on vocals and Benny Ramos on bass, will be presenting their latest album, “Fear No Evil,” an explosive record that respects the history of Whitecross and which we have already reviewed. It will be a good opportunity to see how the new lineup sounds live.

P.O.D. are already well known in the nu metal scene and related genres, as are Demon Hunter, mainly due to their affiliation with the world of metalcore, which has been more core than metal lately but is still worth seeing live.
