The Slovak Band Is Preparing A New Album | The Fourth Album Is Coming For Within Silence
We’ve been hooked on the World Cup and the fourth title, it’s true. It’s an obsession for us Argentines, but anyway, we have to move on—though the guys from Within Silence don’t seem to be thinking the same way; it looks like they’re working on that fourth album.
Let’s take a quick look back at the history of Within Silence. The band started out as “Rightdoor,” a simple project between Martin Klein and Richard Germanus, before eventually—and prior to their debut album—permanently changing their name to what it is today. At the time, Martin Klein explained the change for the following reasons: “Before releasing our debut album Gallery of Life in 2015, we felt it was the right moment to change the band’s name. “Rightdoor” was always more of a working title, and we wanted a name that would truly capture the message and atmosphere of our music. We went through many different ideas and suggestions, trying to find something that would reflect both the sound and the deeper meaning behind it. In the end, it was my suggestion – Within Silence – that really resonated with everyone in the band. We felt it had the right tone – mysterious, emotional, and meaningful. For us, the name represents the idea that within silence, you can find peace, truth, and the clarity to follow your own path in life. That message is something we strongly believe in, and it’s also something we try to reflect through our lyrics and the overall spirit of our music.”
So yes, “Gallery Of Life” was the Slovak band’s debut album back in 2015. This was followed by “Return From The Shadows” in 2017, and finally, their most recent work, 2024’s “The Eclipse Of The Worlds”—an album that solidified their status as a band, and which we had the opportunity to listen to and review at the time. It’s a crushing, powerful album that showcased Within Silence’s sound as more mature than ever.
That album also allowed them not only to release several music videos but also to embark on various tours and perform throughout Europe. “We’ve been quite active recently”, reconoce Martin Klein, “…which is great after the release of “The Eclipse Of The Worlds.” We’ve played several shows and festivals across Europe and have really enjoyed reconnecting with fans. Every concert reminds us how passionate and supportive the power metal community is”, he told us.
But evidently, following the release of the music video for “Land Of The Light”—a track from “Eclipse Of The Worlds”—the band plans to focus on what will be a new album. “We don’t have any plans to release additional videos from “The Eclipse Of The Worlds”, Martin confirmed to us. “We now want to focus entirely on writing and preparing new material, and we’re very excited about what the future holds for Within Silence.”
That future he’s talking about is nothing other than the new album that Within Silence is beginning to put together very slowly, but with determination. “We’re already working behind the scenes on new material, so it’s definitely an exciting period for the band”, the band’s vocalist told us. Naturally, with news like this, we had no choice but to dig a little deeper. “It’s still too early to reveal more information and details, but we currently have all songs written and are very excited about the direction they’re taking”, was the response—but not before clarifying the direction the new material will take.
“Fans can expect the classic Within Silence sound – melodic, powerful, and uplifting but we’re also exploring some new ideas and trying to push ourselves creatively”, Martin Klein told us. Wow!!!! I wonder what those new ideas are!!!!! But if there’s one thing we know about Within Silence, it’s that, album after album, they’ve kept surpassing themselves—and let’s face it, “The Eclipse Of The Worlds” left us with a great album that’s hard to top, but anything is possible.
Speaking of that latest album, Martin told us about its reception. “Honestly exceeded our expectations”, he replied, adding “We’ve received amazing feedback from fans, reviewers, and the media all around the world. Seeing so many people connect with the album has been incredibly rewarding for us. It’s always special to hear that our music has inspired or encouraged someone.”
The time for promoting “The Eclipse Of The Worlds” is now behind us, however. Within Silence plans to look ahead to what’s next—and what’s next is none other than that fourth album we’ve been talking about. “Our biggest priority is working on new songs for album number four”, Martin confirmed, agreeing with us to some extent, “Everything else will be adjusted around that goal, including our live activities. We will be slowing down a bit on the concert front so that we can fully focus on writing new material and eventually entering the recording process.”
Even so, it seems the band will continue to perform live, but everything is being adjusted to fit the new goal they’ve set their sights on. “We still hope to play a few selected shows and meet our fans along the way, but the main focus for the coming months will definitely be album number four.” It’s all for the fourth album. That seems to be the fundamental premise moving forward for Within Silence.
There are no storm clouds on the horizon for the Slovaks. The future looks bright and full of hope, and that’s exactly how they see it. “Overall, the future looks very promising for Within Silence, and we would like to thank everyone who has supported us throughout the years”—that’s the message for all the band’s fans, though not before concluding with the following: “Your support means a lot to us, and we can’t wait to share the next chapter with you!”…
It’s always nice—and a pleasure for us—to hear from the guys in Within Silence, a band that doesn’t make a big splash but, from the “silence” and without fanfare, has been working quietly yet steadily on increasingly interesting albums and material. This is a band that no fan of Power Metal—or Metal in general—should lose sight of.
