New Compilation Album for Mexican Warriors | Lament Releases “The Last Journey: 32 Years Of Resilience”
The legendary band Lament, led by our dear friend Abel Gomez, has just released a new album. This time, it is a compilation of Lament songs from 2007 to 2025. It is titled “The Last Journey: 32 Years Of Resilience,” and is their second compilation album. Remember that in 2007, “The Best Of Lament: 14 Years Rocking The World” was released, containing part of everything Lament had recorded since their beginnings in the ’90s until 2007.
According to what Abel told us at the time, the idea was for this new album to contain two songs from each album released between 2007 and the present, including some tracks only released on compilations. But that’s not all. Along with classic Lament songs, there is a previously unreleased track called “Resiliencia,” which is completely new and will only be available on this album. The physical album also comes with a poster and a sticker as a gift, according to Abel Gomez, and is limited to only 300 copies.
Regarding the physical edition of this compilation, Abel told us some time ago that “It’s a very well-done job. The design and cover art were done by Eulo Ortega from Venezuela.“ He also told us that ”This album features the collaboration of the new guitarists, Jairo and Paco Francisco, and my son, who is on drums. We sent all the selected tracks to New York to be remastered, so I understand that it’s a very good job.”
This new work confirms the endurance and resilience of Lament, who, despite the passing years, continue to move forward and, in this case, revisit part of their history, which is very good.
