The Argentine band La Muerte has released its first EP, titled “Entre Tumbas,” which consists of two tracks, marking the band’s first official release.
“Entre Tumbas” confirms what we’ve previously said about La Muerte. Their commitment to old-school death metal is what stands out most to the eye and ear. With just two tracks, this release serves as the calling card for the guys from the Buenos Aires suburbs, who, by the way, are currently performing live at various shows.

Formed in the spirit of old-school Extreme Metal, La Muerte enters the fray with a sound centered on the most visceral Death Metal. Influenced by bands such as Deicide, Cannibal Corpse, Morbid, Napalm Death, Suffocation, Death, The Black Dahlia Murder, Defeated Sanity, and Aeon, among others, La Muerte defines itself as an old-school Death Metal band.
The striking name La Muerte stems from Jaff, the band’s guitarist, admiring Death, the genre’s pioneering band back in the ’80s. The lineup of La Muerte, in addition to Jaff on guitar, is rounded out by Jorge on vocals, Jose “Lobo” on bass, and Gaby Milarki on drums.
The tracks on “Entre Tumbas” are ‘Samsara’ and the title track, “Entre Tumbas,” both featuring a truly crushing sound in the vein of the aforementioned bands. Recorded, mixed, and mastered by Damian Nayar in early 2026 at Neurótico Records studios, the EP was released and distributed by A.M.A. and is available on all platforms.

If there’s one thing that caught our attention about La Muerte, it’s their intricate compositions and chords, with constant tempo changes and heavy guitar work, featuring an impressive guitar solo on the title track. The recording in question boasts a solid sound that continues the tradition of classic and traditional Death Metal.
Regarding the band’s name and the message La Muerte conveys, some time ago, Jorge Romero, their vocalist, told us the following: “When death comes, you’ve already lost everything. Everything you have stays here; we take nothing with us. Whether you’re rich or poor, we all end up in the same place. We have to try to enjoy the little we have”; but that isn’t the only theme the band explores in their lyrics. “In some songs, we reflect on what it means to care for the soul so as not to be eternally damned. When death comes, you can no longer find redemption.”
But La Muerte’s activity isn’t limited to the great work they put in the studio to release “Entre Tumbas.” The band continues to perform on the underground scene in Buenos Aires and has upcoming dates alongside other bands in the extreme metal genre—we highly recommend checking them out and supporting the scene.

For fans and followers of Old School Death Metal, La Muerte is an ideal choice, embodying the raw spirit of the old, beloved Death Metal—free of modern influences or new trends. To that end, we’ve included the full EP below so you can listen to La Muerte and draw your own conclusions. Also, as usual, we’re sharing their social media links so you can show your support, follow them, and stay updated on their upcoming shows and band news….
