The Brazilians Will Travel Through The East, Europe, And Central America | Antidemon On Tour
It’s hard to find a band that has traveled as much around the world and to different countries as Antidemon, who seem determined to continue expanding the number of places they have visited in their history as a band, which, incidentally, recently celebrated 32 years in the underground, making them one of the longest-running bands in activity, at least in South America.

After having them here last year on an almost lightning-fast visit, Antidemon is preparing to travel to the East on a tour that will take them to Japan and South Korea between May and June of this year. “Expectations are really high! We are sure that we will be even more surprised by the affection of the Japanese public and, for the first time in Seoul, the expectation of playing in Korea is very high!” said Antonio Carlos Batista Do Nascimento, or simply Batista to the band’s friends and fans.
But Antidemon will not only be touring the East, they are also preparing more tours for 2026. The Brazilians’ visit to Finland and Scandinavia has been confirmed, as well as a tour of Central America. In this regard, Batista told us that “…Our first trip to Finland is already confirmed! At the end of June, right after Asia, we’ll head to Scandinavia, where we’ll spend almost 40 days. And in October we should be in Central America!” The dates in Finland are tentatively set for July 4 in Kemijärvi, July 11 and 18 in Rovaniemi, and July 24 in Kuusamo.

After Marcelo Soldado left the band, Antidemon has become a duo with Batista on guitar and vocals (in a previous interview, he told us that to compensate for the lack of bass in live performances, he increased the gauge of the strings by playing in Drop B, and in some songs they also lowered the tuning), and obviously Juliana Batista on drums. “It’s possible that at some point we’ll have someone on bass, and that will be a great joy,” Batista told us, “but the core of Antidemon will remain the same”; that is, Batista on guitar and vocals and Juliana on drums.
In any case, the lack of live bass doesn’t seem to be a big problem for Antidemon. Last year we attended one of the band’s shows here in Buenos Aires, where they demonstrated the tremendous and devastating sound they achieve live.
Antidemon’s latest album to date is “Convergence,” which was released in 2024, so we took the liberty of asking if a new album is on the horizon. “We are really looking forward to recording our next album soon!” replied the man with the thunderous voice of Antidemon. “Being a duo will make it easier! New ideas are already emerging, and so the story of Antidemon will continue!” he assured us. Referring to the same subject, Batista also told us that he himself will be responsible for recording both the guitars and the bass for the upcoming recordings.

Antidemon continues its journey, determined to make more history, quietly and only making noise when they take the stage and blow your eardrums away with that powerful sound that only Brazilians can achieve. If you’ve never had the opportunity to enjoy Antidemon live, and you live or are traveling near Japan, South Korea, Scandinavia, or Central America, we recommend you make the effort. Antidemon never disappoints….
To follow Antidemon’s tour and tour dates closely, I recommend following the band on social media, where they post all the latest news. In addition, here is a video of a live version of the song “Suicidio” to give you an idea of what Antidemon sounds like on stage…
