P.O.D. re-releases It Won’t Bow Down

After their successful South American tour (missing Argentina), the guys from P.O.D., wanting to deepen even more their connection with the Spanish-speaking fans, have decided to re-release the single “I Won’t Bow Down”, from their most recent album “VERITAS” (2024), but this time introducing a chorus completely in Spanish and with the help of an old friend of the band: the renowned vocalist Andrés Giménez from the Argentinians A.N.I.M.A.L., who are about to release a new album. The result can already be heard in the main digital music platforms. According to the press release, “I Won’t Bow Down”, in its original version caused a deep impact on the music scene, accumulating a total of 7 million streams as of January 18, 2024, while the album “VERITAS” (2024) reached 50 million streams worldwide in May (which we don’t care about). As if that wasn’t enough, for the first quarter of 2025 P.O.D. will be touring Europe with Godsmack as well as participating in some festivals in the U.S. during the month of May.

Meanwhile, the Argentinean band A.N.I.M.A.L. is preparing a new album and possibly during the month of April 2025 we will be able to know what it is about. The band has confirmed dates in Peru, Ecuador and Argentina so far.
Even though we don’t really like what P.O.D. does, musically speaking, we salute the initiative of including a Latin guest and that they also include a chorus in Spanish, especially in times when some people think that everything bad comes from Latin America. So, thumbs up.
