Tortured Conscience is a veteran, battle-hardened band that’s been around for quite some time; despite this, they have only two albums to their credit: namely, 2006’s “Every Knee Shall Bow” and their latest studio album, the powerful “One Law One King,” released in 2023, which we’ve already discussed in the review we published at the time, as well as an old demo from 2001 and a track on the split album “The Collection Volume 1: Tools of the Trade” alongside Royal Anguish and Soul Of The Savior.
And it is precisely in relation to “One Law One King” that we decided to ask the band a few questions—more specifically, Jeff Lenormand, guitarist and leader of Tortured Conscience—since something truly exciting has been announced: This album will finally be released on vinyl, and the band has been preparing a truly deluxe edition for it.

Can you imagine the striking cover art of this album on vinyl? But beyond that, anyone who’s had the chance to listen to “One Law One King”—whether on CD (like us) or in digital format—knows the power this album unleashes in each of its nine powerful tracks, and knowing that it will now be available on vinyl makes the whole thing even more exciting. That’s not all; the album will feature some bonus tracks, which, in this case, are an extra addition that adds even more value to this reissue.
The announced bonus tracks aren’t old songs added to the album but are, in fact, new songs recorded specifically for this occasion. One of them, as the band announced, is titled “All To His Own Glory,” and it will be one of the bonus tracks on this new edition of the album.
In particular, the band had this to say about it: “We wanted to include some extra songs so that, if someone already had the CD, they’d get something extra by buying the vinyl as well. As for when it’ll be ready, I’m not quite sure. But it WILL happen, no matter what! Haha!!!”; so it’s almost certain that “One Man One King” will be a new edition that won’t be limited to just what we’ve already heard on the CD, especially since the entire album is also being remixed.
But beyond that news, we had to ask them if they’d considered reissuing their first album on vinyl—the aforementioned 2006 release “Every Knee Shall Bow,” which has already been reissued on CD. “In fact, we sent it to Charles Powell at Battlefrost Productions to be remixed and remastered,” Jeff told us, “The truth is, it turned out really well. As for releasing it on vinyl, I’m not sure what Duayne from Vision of God Records plans to do about it,” so we’ll have to wait and see what happens with an album that, at this point, is a true cult classic for those who follow the Death Metal scene.

Regarding the future of Tortured Conscience as a band, and whether they plan to release any new material in the short or medium term, the enigmatic response was, “I’ve been writing more material for Tortured Conscience, as well as songs for a second project I’m working on with my former Agenda of Swine bandmate, Pete Pontikoff,” Jeff Lenormand told us, thereby giving us a glimpse into what may be a new side project, one more focused on grindcore, as he mentioned. “The project is called Arterial Atrophy, and it features Pete on vocals, me on guitar and bass, and Troy Fullerton (Severed Savior, First Fragment) on drums. It’s a grind band with Christian lyrics,” Jeff revealed. In this case, we’ll also have to keep an eye out for updates to learn more about it.
To that end, here are Tortured Conscience’s social media links so you can support them, follow them, and stay updated on the latest news. And of course, to get you fired up, here’s the lyric video for “Rise”—one of the powerful tracks from One Law One King—along with the review we previously published…
