Brutality seems to be the hallmark that Benevolence holds high. Almost like a sonic steamroller, the band from Fort Worth, Texas, is preparing to release a new album. To that end, they have just signed with Rottweiler Records, and as a preview of this album—which is set to be released toward the end of the year—they’ve treated us to their new single, “Face Of Liar.”
Benevolence is a band forged in grit, sharpened by time, and now fully unleashed. Just listen to this new track. “Face Of Liar” is pure energy that showcases Benevolence’s power.
In a blend of Death Metal and Metalcore elements, Benevolence takes its sound to a new level without turning down the volume. To be honest, their sound is crushing and defiant. Unlike other contemporary bands, Benevolence never strays from its aggressive musical style, and its core is rooted in extreme music.

“Face of a Liar” hits like a steel door kicked off its hinges – tight, aggressive and unrelenting – showcasing the band’s ability to balance precision with raw, brutal, emotional weight. It’s not just a single; it’s a warning flare exploding against the night sky.
The forthcoming record carries a unique lineage. Originally recorded in 2022 by Chris Corley alongside a cadre of elite Dallas metal studio musicians, featuring Chris Johnson (HARD LOOK), Nakoa Arnold (Hunt The Dinosaur, Funeral Procession, Thy Flesh Abhorred) and Charles Benson (Conquered Flesh, Benson, Exalt the Throne), the album captures a moment of pure creative combustion. Now, with a brand-new, battle-ready lineup, Benevolence is resurrecting and redefining that material – bringing it out of the studio shadows and into the live arena with renewed intensity and cohesion.
The current lineup of Benevolence is comprised of bassist Alex Brannan, guitarist Cameron Murrell, drummer Chris Corley and vocalist Brent Wells – and this new incarnation of Benevolence isn’t just continuing a vision – it’s a total weaponizing of it.
“Those recordings were lightning in a bottle,” says Corley. “Now we’ve got the storm around it. This lineup brings power, chemistry and a live energy that’s going to take these songs to a whole different level.”

With their signing to Rottweiler Records, Benevolence is stepping onto a much larger stage, poised to carve their name into the modern metal landscape. Their sound is equal parts calculated destruction and controlled chaos – built for both the pit and the long haul. In the meantime, we’ll have to wait for their new full-length album, but at least we have something to look forward to. “Face Of Liar” showcases Benevolence’s defiant side, both in lyrics and music. Below, we’ve included the new track and the band’s social media links so you can support them, follow their updates, and stay tuned for their upcoming news…
