A New Album Is On The Horizon | Martin Simson’s Destroyer Of Death Releases “Trinity” Featuring Anette Olzon
We’ve previously told you about the Martin Simson’s Destroyer Of Death project, a concept-driven endeavor led by bassist Martin Simson, which began in 2020. The project already has several singles to its credit, as well as an excellent album, “Eternal Reign,” released in 2023, which received rave reviews across the Americas, Europe, and Asia—and, in particular, also made its way to our ears.
It seems that a second album is on the way. The release of “Trinity” featuring the well-known Anette Olzon (Nightwish, The Dark Element, Solo, Allen/Olzon) suggests that this project’s new album is just around the corner. Martin Simson is working hard on this new project, and in addition to Olzon’s participation, it is known that CJ Grimmark (Narnia) will also be on board again, as well as Rob Rock, Jonatan Samuelsson (Narnia), Mark Boals, and Roy Khan, with whom we already heard the single “Rescue Me” last year, and who may possibly be part of Martin Simson’s Destroyer Of Death’s next album.

As you might have guessed, “Destroyer Of Death” is a one-man band led, naturally, by Martin Simson, who handles all the bass lines and contributes to the songwriting. As we noted when reviewing “Eternal Reign,” his debut album, every track is of the highest quality, and these songs shine even brighter thanks to the illustrious musicians who have joined Martin. Namely, Rob Rock and Jorn Lande on vocals, Rex Carroll (Whitecross) on guitars, Anders Johansson (formerly of Narnia, currently of Avatarium) on drums, Carljohann Grimmark on guitars, and Anders Köllerfors on drums (both currently of Narnia). Truly a top-notch lineup to tackle what was once “Eternal Reign” and what lies ahead.
And it seems that what’s coming is even more impressive, featuring Roy Khan, Anette Olzon, and Mark Boals. This points to another great album on the horizon. With nearly the same core members plus the aforementioned new additions, the new album is ready to make its mark.

“Trinity” will be officially released on May 1st of this year on all digital platforms, and surely the time will soon come for Martin Simson’s Destroyer Of Death to unveil their next album. In the meantime, we’ve included below the latest release, “Rescue Me,” featuring Roy Khan, which was released last year….
