The band based in the province of Córdoba, Argentina, has just released and premiered a new track that will be part of what’s coming up: an upcoming EP set to be released soon. The track in question is “Última Batalla,” in a demo version that, as announced, will not be the final version but which Proyecto Grial is sharing to give us a glimpse of what they’re working on.
Incidentally, “Última Batalla” delves deeper into Proyecto Grial’s Epic and Symphonic Power Metal style, which we already encountered on their 2018 debut EP, and features a clear and profound message for the times we live in, with the participation of none other than Javier Barrozo (ex-Lorihen, Temple, Magnos, and current Quantum), one of the great vocalists of the Argentinean Metal scene, and Ale Bloom, who said the narrative and opening prologue for this powerful track.

In that regard, Pablo Lopez, the main force behind Proyecto Grial, told us about “Última Batalla” that “It is the opening of this new saga in the world of Proyecto Grial. In this opening track, we have the luxury of featuring top-tier guests: Javier Barrozo elevates the track with his masterful vocals, and Ale Bloom, a brilliant singer from Córdoba, who handled the narration and opening prologue “La voz de la montaña”—masterfully performed— It gives me goosebumps when I hear it, and when I wrote it, I didn’t think it would feel this way. I hope you all enjoy it and experience it the same way,” he told us.
The version of “Última Batalla” presented here is a demo and will not be the final version of the track. In fact, it shows us what Proyecto Grial is currently working on. Even so, it’s possible to see the positive evolution the band is undergoing. “We’re releasing this EP online under the ‘demo’ concept, so people can understand where we’re headed,” Pablo told us. “The final sound will likely evolve a bit, but the essence is already there. Also, in May we’ll release the official music video with the album’s final audio. As for the physical release, we’re considering a crowdfunding system (pre-order) so fans can contribute and help make it happen.”

“Última Batalla” isn’t a standalone track. It’s the preview Proyecto Grial is giving us of what will be their next studio release, coming out as an EP. “We’ve been working on this new material since early 2025,” Pablo Lopez told us. “This time we wanted to double down: it comes with a stronger dose of Power Hard Rock and Neoclassical Metal, which is what we’re passionate about. The concept follows our usual approach: life and faith told through epic medieval poetry and Arthurian language. At its core, we’re talking about real situations in our society and the modern world, projected through this mysticism.”
The new album has a release date. According to Pablo, “The full album has an estimated release date of October. However, I didn’t want to let the work we’ve been doing with the first mix go to waste, as it sets the roadmap for the sound. This material was recorded at Matías Takaya’s studios and, on this occasion, mixed and mastered by Frank Córdoba in Buenos Aires.”
Proyecto Grial has been focused on and committed to this new album since the beginning of the year, as Pablo explained to us. “We’ve been working on it since last year, but between shows and other commitments, we kept putting it off; that’s why, in 2026, we decided not to commit to so many dates so we could finally finish the recording.” But in addition to the band’s work on the new material, Proyecto Grial is constantly thinking about new dates and performances. “The plan is to officially present the album in Córdoba by November at the latest. We also have a tentative performance in Mar del Plata and perhaps a visit in September to share the stage with our friends from Conxuro, a folk band from Mar del Plata. For now, we’re focused on wrapping up this production phase, which has taken a tremendous amount of work,” says the leader and vocalist of Proyecto Grial.

“Última Batalla” is now available on streaming platforms. It’s the spearhead of what’s to come for Proyecto Grial and a year that looks set to be truly productive for the band. Let’s hope so…
