The Follow-Up To “The Death Is Dead” Is On The Way... | “Last Caesar” Will Be No More Death’s New Album
Tiago Torres, known for his former band Mad Dragzter, surprised us in 2025 with the launch of his new project called No More Death, releasing his first album titled “The Death Is Dead,” centered on a simple and direct Old School Thrash Metal sound.

Apparently, Tiago and No More Death have no intention of resting on their laurels. On the contrary, they are already working on a new album, and the result is almost ready to be released. The new album will be titled “Last Caesar”
“We just released the cover art and tracklist for the new album. It’s coming out next July!” Tiago Torres, the mastermind behind No More Death, told us. “We’re very excited about this second act of our thrash saga. We’ll continue telling this great story. If in the first act we traveled 2,000 years back, now we’re traveling to the final years of that era of humanity—the era of the greatest darkness and suffering of all time”, he reveals.

The album “The Death Is Dead” was a relentless display of old-school Thrash Metal that, without a moment’s respite, crushed heads, but in the case of “Last Caesar,” things seem to be different. In that regard, Tiago assured us that “…Once again, we’ve returned to No More Death’s signature style when it comes to making Thrash Metal. But, without a doubt, this new album is different. The first album was direct, dense, with no respite! This new record is more musical, technical, with many nuances and passages. Plus, we’ve dared to try new things on some songs—even something that borders on a ballad. Without a doubt, a huge step forward for the band!” So we can expect an evolution in the musical direction that defines No More Death.
Back with their debut album, released independently and in partnership with Roxx Records, No More Death proved they were ready to take on the world with a record that delivers a truly crushing sound. Regarding the response the band received for “The Death Is Dead,” Tiago Torres told us, “It’s definitely been amazing! All over the world! The vast majority of metalheads we’ve reached who’ve listened to our album have become part of the band right away. The only problem is that there are still so many people who don’t know the band or the album, both in the Christian and non-Christian spheres. There are so many bands, albums, singles, and videos. Every day, all the time. So there’s a battle for people’s time and attention. In that regard, we’re very, very far from the ideal. But we work every day so that those whose hearts are touched by our music can find us!”; so you still have time to enter the world of No More Death, if you haven’t already. The album is available not only in physical format but also digitally. No More Death doesn’t disappoint!

One of the defining features of No More Death is that, for now, it remains a solo project by Tiago Torres, without a stable lineup that would allow them to perform live and convey the energy they capture in the studio. In that regard, Tiago told us once again that “We’ll start taking it more seriously after the release of the new album. A lot of people have reached out to us to be part of this live lineup. Even big names from the global thrash scene. So I think we’ll have some good news this year!”

“Last Caesar” will feature eight new tracks, including the title track and other intriguing titles like “Fake Peace,” “Merchants Of Faith,” and the enigmatic “2077”; in any case, we have until July to find out what this new album is all about. In the meantime, I recommend not only checking out No More Death’s music, but also reading the interview Tiago Torres did with us a while back…
