Jonatan Samuelsson Gives Us Some Details... | Countdown to Narnia’s New Album…
Their last album, “Ghost Town,” was released in 2023. It’s been quite a while since Narnia released their last album. It’s time to find out if the band is working on something new, and the answer is yes. Indeed, Narnia is in the midst of pre-production for what will be their new album.

That’s why we contacted Jonatan Samuelsson, the band’s bassist, who told us the latest news about it. “We are currently in the final stages of mixing. We are not ready to announce the title yet and the cover is not ready”, was his response; but despite the lack of news in this regard, Jonatan gave us a little preview, “One thing I can share is that “Ocean Wide” – which we premiered live during the tour with Stryper and Bride in Brazil this summer – will be on the album.”; he also told us that “We will share more information (track count, release plans, cover art) when the mixing/mastering and graphics are finished. But our goal is to release the album early in 2026. It will be a really good album with some interesting twists, although as a regular Narnia listener you will recognize yourself in the music and lyrics.”

As usual, and out of pure anxiety, we went a little further and insisted on finding out more about this new album. Once again, Jonatan, with his saintly patience, told us that “It is very much Narnia – melodic and powerful, with our characteristic mix of melodic hard rock with strong choruses, lots of guitar and keyboards. We have many strong melodies and lyrics that sometimes dig a little deeper and hopefully make the listener think. Several of the songs will also be able to become really good live songs and future Narnia classics.”

But it’s not all about the new album in the world of Narnia, so we take this opportunity to ask Jonatan about Narnia’s recent tour of Brazil with Stryper and Bride. “It was amazing”, he said, “Brazil was electric from the first note – always a passionate audience, lots of love and a real sense of community. The South American audience is in our hearts, and they are good at showing us their love. It gives us energy to give it our all every night. Touring Latin America feels like coming home. It was also really nice to tour with our friends in Stryper and Bride, as well as the whole crew. Fantastic people and the collaboration between everyone are both professional and friendly.”

Finally, Jonatan told us about Narnia’s upcoming live performances and a possible tour of Latin America, not just Brazil. “Next weekend we have two gigs in Sweden, actually. The first one is at a rock club just outside Stockholm and the second one is at a Christian conference in Eskilstuna, also in the Stockholm area. In 2026 we have so far, some inquiries and bookings that we can’t reveal yet, but there will be some festivals around Europe and possibly a trip to Latin America eventually. But nothing is fully booked yet, so I can’t promise, although we all hope”; We are definitely looking forward to the return of Narnia here, especially in Argentina.

Finally, Jonatan expresses his wishes for his fans here in Argentina: “Thanks for all the support – lots of love to all our friends in Argentina!”
Narnia’s next album will be their 10th studio album (not counting live material and compilations). It is expected to be released in early 2026, and we look forward to more news about it and even a possible advance single. To stay informed about Narnia, we recommend following them on social media.
