July 25, 2025, is the date set for Stryper to once again perform live in Argentina, as part of the “40th Anniversary” tour that the band has been carrying out for some time now, and in support of their latest release, “When We Were Kings.” The venue will be the Arena Sur in Buenos Aires.
There are several things to note about this. First, this is the third time Stryper has performed in our country and the first time at Arena Sur, which is a relatively new venue on the metal circuit in Buenos Aires. Tickets are on sale, and according to the band, there is a VIP package available that includes, in addition to the ticket, the famous and well-known Meet and Greet, which allows fans to have more direct contact with the band members, although this is not completely guaranteed, as has been duly clarified. It is also worth noting that, unlike previous times, this time the opening act for Stryper will be Bertoncelli (known for his work in “Imperio” and “Renacer”) in his new solo phase, and Norberto Rodriguez with his current project ‘Bronsong’ (known for the legendary band “VAGO,” “Mala Medicina,” “Quemar,” and his work as a vocalist on the album “Walter Giardino Temple”).

An important point to note is that Oz Fox, Stryper’s longtime guitarist, will not be part of the Latin American tour due to health issues that make it advisable, on medical advice, for him to refrain from traveling and staying away from home for long periods of time. Howie Simon has been announced as his replacement as the band’s guitarist for this tour only.
On the other hand, it is worth noting that Stryper’s 40th anniversary tour extends throughout Latin America and includes dates in Mexico, Costa Rica, Colombia, Perú, Chile, Uruguay, and Brazil as well. In the latter case, they will be accompanied by Bride and Narnia, who will accompany the legendary band on their extensive tour of Brazil, as they will not be performing in any other country, it should be noted. It’s a shame, because there are many of us who wanted to see Bride and Narnia playing in Argentina and the rest of Latin America.
For those who don’t know, or for those who were too distracted to mention it, the anniversary has to do with the 40 years since Stryper released their first LP (“Soldiers Under Command,” which is their first album. The previous one was only an EP), so we assume a setlist based on that work and the band’s best albums, that is, the ’80s, and we’ll see if the band dares to play some of their latest compositions included in “When We Were Kings,” their latest album, which we recently reviewed, which we have made available to you if you would like to know our opinion on it, and which will surely be available in our country for the first time in physical format.

It won’t be long before we see the Kings of White Metal live for the third time in history, both in Argentina and the rest of Latin America, and you can purchase tickets here through the Passline system.
