Saturday September 13th 19 hs. - Groove, Buenos Aires | Zamarbide Pays Tribute To Two Classic Argentine Metal Albums
The unmistakable voice of Argentine Heavy Metal in this 2025 listens to the request of the fans of Argentine Metal and puts into operation two specific celebrations: 40th anniversary of “Un Paso Más En La Batalla”, 2nd album by V8 + 30th Anniversary of “Generación Mutante” by Logos.
Alberto Zamarbide, lead vocalist of both V8 and Logos, will pay tribute to two essential albums in the history of National Heavy Metal. He will do it with a line-up that is still a mystery (or surprise?), whose members are only confirmed Walter “Cacho” Scasso on bass (ex Logos and current Resistentes and Entre El Cielo Y El Infierno) and Cristian Fernandez on guitar (who already played in that role in other Zamarbide’s shows).
This tribute will have several dates, as follows, so far:
- Saturday, September 13, 7 pm, Groove, Palermo, Buenos Aires.
- Sunday September 14, 7 pm, Sala Formosa, Córdoba.
- Friday, September 19, Formosa
- Saturday, September 20, Corrientes
“Un Paso Más En La Batalla” was the second album by V8, Argentine Heavy Metal pioneer band, which was originally recorded by the classic line-up of the band (Zamarbide – Iorio – Rowek – Civile) in 1984 although it was released, with a delay, only in 1985. The aforementioned album is a catalogue of national metal classics such as “Deseando Destruir Y Matar”, “Cautivos Del Sistema”, “Ideando La Fuga” and “Momento De Luchar”, among others. A true arsenal of hard-hitting Heavy Metal, which will be reviewed by Zamarbide.
On the other hand, “Generación Mutante” was Logos’ second album, in which Alberto Zamarbide was also the vocalist. In this case, Logos tried with this album to give a twist to the style of “La Industria Del Poder”, achieving a record not exempt of controversy, both for its sound, unheard of at the time, and for its lyrics, more social than in their first album. Even so, it managed to establish more than one classic for Logos, such as “Arden En El Cielo”, “Cuando Acecha La Maldad” or the title track of the album.
This will be a unique opportunity to witness a historic event, in which Alberto Zamarbide, will review both albums in an unmissable show. The last physical tickets can be reserved with Hurling Metal through Mercado Pago.
