Signus Regis presents a remixed and remastered version of “The Eyes of Power”, the second album by the melodic metal band Signum Regis, originally released in 2010. This new version has been remixed and remastered by Filip Kolus and features all-new artwork by Uwe Jarling (Grave Digger, Mystic Prophecy). The album features Göran Edman (ex. Yngwie Malmsteen) on vocals on all the songs on the album. This re-release will be released on May 23, 2025 via Beyond The Storm Productions.
As reported in the press release, Signum Regis reloads its history with “The Eyes of Power”, a bold reissue packed with fresh sound and epic vision. Signum Regis breathes new life into their outstanding album “The Eyes of Power”, recorded with Göran Edman (ex-Yngwie Malmsteen). Hailed as one of Edman’s heaviest works, this release fuses a unique historical concept with eastern and neoclassical compositions, reflecting the band’s fearless ambition. With re-recorded guitars, updated bass, crisp modern mixing and mastering by guitarist Filip Koluš, and stunning new artwork by Uwe Jarling, the album seems to be reborn, perfect for fans of epic concept metal, Symphony X and ancient history enthusiasts.

According to Ronnie König, bassist of the band, “The Eyes Of Power is our second album that we recorded with Göran Edman (ex-Yngwie Malmsteen). I think it is also the heaviest album Göran has ever recorded. The interesting thing about the album is the combination of a unique historical concept, the eastern and neoclassical approach to songwriting and the fire in the belly we had when recording it. We were ambitious and daring. We did some really crazy things. Like the super-fast song “Dura Europos” or the epic instrumental song “The Underground Temples Of Mithras”. König also says: “The only thing we regretted over the years was the production. Now, when we had the opportunity to re-release this album, we saw it as a unique opportunity to fix everything we wanted. Filip Koluš (guitarist) ended up re-recording all the rhythm guitars with a better and more modern sound. I re-recorded the bass on 2 tracks and of course we mixed it again. I think Filip did a fantastic job with the mix and now this album sounds very fresh, like something we did just the other week. The new artwork by Uwe Jarling is the icing on the cake, as it brings out the dynamic and heroic essence of the story and elevates the aesthetics of the album and the band to a fresh and modern level.”
Finally, the band’s bassist concludes that “In my opinion, this album is tailor-made for fans of historical concept metal albums, for fans of Signum Regis obviously, but I think it has a lot to offer to fans of bands like Symphony X or Yngwie Malmsteen. If you’re a fan of ancient history, you’ll love the lyrics and the booklet. It’s very special. I don’t think you’ll find anything like it.”
This re-release will feature the same track list that had originally been released on the original version. To stay in touch with the band we recommend you:
