I’m always amazed at the vitality of a band like Deliverance. Beyond a few breaks in between, the legendary band just keeps going and going from 1985 to the present day. Well, the last we heard from Deliverance was the re-recording of “Camelot In Smithereens” in 2022, but as far as strictly new material is concerned, we have to go all the way to 2018 when “The Subversive Kind” was released, the last album with new songs from the band.

The wait seems to be coming to an end, or at least we won’t have to keep waiting so long for something new from Deliverance, since Jimmy P. Brown II himself assured this media that “A new Deliverance album is being worked on. There is no name for it.“, and before the rumors that indicate that the same one would be called ‘Twelve’ he assures that ‘Not sure how the name “Twelve” got out there”, reason why we should discard this title. Continuing about this new album, Jimmy told us that “it’s currently being worked on. We all live far from each other, so Jim Chaffin and I are primarily working on all the music! We don’t have a release date as of yet. It will be on Retroactive Records.”
Likewise, the main man behind Deliverance referred us regarding the style of this new work that “The Style is just another evolution of Deliverance! I’m experimenting with different sounds and vibe! But I don’t want to put a label or definition to it! It will simply be Deliverance…”, while also confirming that the band continues to consist of himself on vocals and guitar, Jim Chafflin on drums, Brian Khairullah on bass and the stainless George Ochoa on guitar.

In the meantime, Deliverance continues to perform live, with their next show scheduled for May 9th at Rochaus, West Dundee, Illinois, USA and May 10th, 2025 with Disciple at the BMI Event Center in Versailles, U.S.A.
