The Argentine Band Prepares A New Video And New Material | Triade Looks Ahead To 2026
Triade is a historic and legendary band within Argentina’s white metal scene. With a career spanning back to the 1990s, the band has already released three albums, “El Fin De La Maldad” (2000), “Héroes De La Fe” (2004) y “El León Y El Dragón” (2022), with a long history as a band.
The band took a hiatus, partly due to the pandemic and partly due to the passing of their vocalist, Jose Barquini (R.I.P.), which led to a period of inactivity for Triade. By 2025, the band had gotten back on track, resuming rehearsals with the return of their former vocalist Hernán Real and playing a few select shows.

Now that we’re in 2026, we decided to chat with Daniel San Martin, Triade’s longtime guitarist, who shared some updates and news about the band for this year. “For 2026, we basically have a few projects in the works”, he told us. “As a first step, we’re re-recording the song ‘El león y el dragón’ with Hernán on vocals and making a video for it; since that was the original idea when we released the album, and unfortunately it got shelved due to José’s passing.”
In addition to that, Daniel mentioned regarding possible tour dates for Triade this year that “We’re looking to organize something after the middle of the year, but if anyone organizes a date and wants to invite us, we’ll accept offers and sneak in, hahaha!!! In the meantime, we’re doing interviews with various media outlets that have come up over the past few months.”
We had to ask if Triade is thinking about recording new stuff, and Daniel San Martin told us that “We’re starting to work on a new album. The rough demos are already done; it’s just a matter of working on them, tweaking them, reviewing a few things, and maybe, if the timing works out, going into the studio to record by the end of the year. Sometimes things take longer because we all have families and jobs, and it’s hard to get together due to lack of time”, he told us, adding that this new album the band is starting to prepare “would be the first album in an ‘epic saga’ based on the Bible. While there are themes that are drawn from and connected to various books of the Bible, this production would essentially cover the period from Genesis to the First Book of Kings. Musically, we continue to delve deeper into the Melodic Symphonic Metal style that defines us, but since we’re telling stories, the idea is to reflect the character of what we’re narrating through the music. That is, to place great emphasis on the musical nuances that can emerge between the band and the orchestral arrangements.”

In addition to this update that Daniel San Martin shared with us regarding the project Triade will undertake in the future, we were curious to know if the band plans to re-record or re-release any of their first three albums. “No, we haven’t thought about re-recording them”, was his reply. “We have made more copies of the first two albums, since, thank God, there are people who are just now discovering us (especially through the internet) and requesting our material. So we’re trying to move forward, ‘fighting the good fight every day,’ to grow and improve, not only musically through each album, but also in terms of reaching a wider audience, since that’s why we do it. Ultimately, if you aren’t ‘on the other side’ to listen to us, what we do wouldn’t make any sense”, he told us.
Triade is on the move. They are in the midst of the creative process and have several ideas and projects underway. Here are the details to stay connected with Triade and follow them on social media, to find out about news and upcoming dates that the band will surely have soon…
