“Utter Kaos And The Eclipsed Moon” is the title of the new release from this Christian-themed black metal band called Satan Destroyer. Hailing from the United States, this powerful trio consists of Lord Enochiam, who initially handled vocals and all instrumentation but now focuses solely on vocals and guitars, joined by Thomas H. Roach of the band Casm on bass and Pathos of Symphony Of Heaven on drums.
With this lineup, Satan Destroyer has just released their new album, titled “Utter Kaos And The Eclipsed Moon,” which is essentially the band’s third album.

Thanks to the band’s kindness, we were able to hear one of the promotional tracks from this release, specifically the song “The Infinity Abyss,” which is also the album’s opening track. Pure old-school black metal. Utterly heart-wrenching, heavy, wild, and furious in every note and riff. That’s what this new Satan Destroyer album is all about. Pure blast beats with no respite.
By the way, we’ll also find tracks like “Sounding Of The Seventh Trumpet” or “Seven Angels Seven Stars,” which revolve around a fundamentally apocalyptic theme—one that, in itself, blends perfectly with the “chaos” proposed by Satan Destroyer.
But there’s also room for a minimal orchestral touch alongside the crushing riffs and guttural vocals of Lord Enochiam; ultimately, however, it’s speed and fury that dominate this album from start to finish, as can be heard in “Demons Will Drown In The Lake Of Fire.” In contrast, on “And I Saw With My Eyes The Seventh Seal,” the riffs and notes rise masterfully to near infinity.
“Gorgoroth Pt. II” reminds us a bit of Mayhem in its sound and approach, moving at a moderate pace without losing intensity, followed by “The Great I Am,” another intense track from Satan Destroyer, much like “Lightning Swords Of Death,” which offers no respite at any moment.
Finally, “Resurrection Of The Immortal Soul” stands out as one of the album’s best tracks, and the closing track is the title track of this tremendous and apocalyptic display of fury.

Indeed, “Utter Kaos And The Eclipsed Moon” revolves around various passages and moods of the Apocalypse, perfectly capturing the atmosphere proposed by the famous prophetic book, in a display of the purest and most faithful expression the Black Metal genre has to offer. In that sense, Satan Destroyer draws from the old-school roots of the style, and their approach revolves around that, without any metaphors or incorporation of elements from other metal genres. In short, Satan Destroyer is pure, faithful, and direct Black Metal!!!
Does it come with Christian content? Of course, perhaps that’s the “difference” from the old-school masters, but even so, its message focuses on spiritual, dark, and profound themes such as the apocalyptic narrative, which blends almost perfectly with the dense, heavy, and dark atmosphere of Satan Destroyer’s Black Metal.

While the album has a physical release, it also has a digital version (like almost everything these days). In fact, the band itself has posted the blessed Bandcamp codes on their official Facebook page so you can listen to this new material from Satan Destroyer. By the way, below we’ve included the links to find them on social media and a preview of “Utter Kaos And The Eclipsed Moon,” so you can give it a quick listen and get a taste of an album that won’t disappoint fans of Old School Black Metal…
