We announced it at the end of December, thanks to some details that Jani Stefanovic had given us back in June 2025. Now, after several months, the Finnish band’s new and first album has a release date. January 30, 2026, is the day.
Over the past year, Silence The Echo has been releasing singles from what will be their first album. Thus, “Burn Deep Within,” “Don’t Give Up,” and “Into Serenity” were a preview of what “Liberation” will ultimately be.

Silence The Echo emerged in 2022 from the creative synergy between vocalist Katja Stefanovic and her husband, renowned composer and multi-instrumentalist Jani Stefanovic (ex-Solution .45, Miseration). What began as the bold vision of a duo has become a full band consisting of Teemu Rautiainen (ex-One Morning Left) on guitar, Nikke Karaksela (Frail, Ocean Dark) on drums, and Tommi Huuskonen (Ocean Dark) on bass.
The band’s name, as Jani Stefanovic told us at the time, has to do with the idea that “The world is full of opinions and often demands that we all be the same. This is the right opinion, so everyone should think this way or that way. Ideas, voices that control the masses. With Silence The Echo, we say no, we are not the echo, but the voice. We have to be ourselves, stand firm in our values and convictions instead of letting ourselves be pushed or forced to fit into a certain mold. You have to be what you have to be and not puppets controlled by whatever agenda it may be.”

“Liberation” is Silence The Echo’s debut album, and expectations are high for the great work the band has been doing in this regard. “These songs were recorded in our own home studio,” said Jani, “and the drums were recorded in our own studio. The composition and overall production are by Jani and Katja Stefanovic. On some songs, we had Jonas Ekdahl (former member of Everegrey) and Andreas Björkman as co-producers. The mixing was done by Thomas “Plec” Johansson at Panic Room Studios, Sweden. The mastering was done by Ted Jensen at Sterling Sound and Thomas ‘Plec’ Johansson at Panic Room Studios. The album will have 10 tracks,” so we can expect the album to be a great debut for the band.

Both “Burn Deep Within” and the other singles released so far show Silence The Echo attempting a mixture of traditional metalcore, groove, and more modern elements, all nuanced by the voice of Katja Stefanovic, who is emerging as one of the best voices on the metal scene.
Regarding the band’s musical style, Jani Stefanovic once defined Silence The Echo’s sound as “a mix of modern metal and metalcore. Groovy, electronic, ambient, and atmospheric parts with low tunings. A mixture of aggression and beauty.”
This new album is already available for pre-order and will finally see the light of day on January 30, when “Liberation” will be officially released. For more details, we recommend checking out Silence The Echo’s website as well as their social media accounts….
