“Dream II” Looms On The Horizon | Adorned Graves Prepares The Sequel To “Dream I”
“Dream I is a song for encouragement and food for thought. For tomorrow is another day, leave your burdens all behind. Don’t lose the Dream for it shows a path for a different view”; with that statement, Adorned Graves gives us a glimpse of what their new studio album will be like.
In case you don’t remember, not long ago we had the chance to get our hands on the latest release from the German band Adorned Graves, titled “Dream I”—a devastating EP that really blew us away and left us wanting more. Well, it seems the band has announced the second part of “Dream I”, with a new EP that will, of course, be titled “Dream II”.
“We had a lot of fun recording our latest ep, “Dream I”, and reveling in the 80’s. That’s why we wrote five more songs. The recordings are almost finished and we’re very happy with the results”, Adorned Graves posted on their social media a few days ago, so indeed, very soon, we’ll have the chance to enjoy more from this fierce German band.
And for now, “Dream II” should be on the verge of release, as the band itself has announced that by the end of summer (our winter here in the Southern Hemisphere) the new album will be ready. They confirmed this with the following statement: “Adorned Graves enjoyed celebrating their tenth anniversary, recording music, and reconnecting with their musical roots. They continued writing songs in the style of 80s Metal, resulting in five additional “Dream” tracks. Consequently, the decision to name the release “Dream II” — accompanied by a slightly modified logo and plans for a second EP in 2026 — was a logical evolution.”
The new release will consist of five new tracks, including “Disaster”, “On The Edge”, “Dream II”, “Light Side Of The Grave” and “Starry Night”; it was also confirmed that Craig Cairns of the band Tailgunner will return to the microphone, along with the participation of some guest musicians who have not yet been publicly announced.
The band has already released the cover art for the new EP and the official music video for the track “Disaster”—chosen as the lead single for “Dream II”, which you can watch below—but what was perhaps most surprising was the band’s statement of principles regarding the thorny issue of AI use, both in production and in recording, composition, and illustration design.
“Adorned Graves never used and never will use AI for writing and recording music. Adorned Graves used or will use AI for the latest coverartwork, booklet, videos or layout”, they stated. The band also clarified that “We are a Metal Band, musicians and make music. We do everything on our own. The musicians involved are real, the music you get is real and we put all our energy into this art. We put all our creativity, many time and money into this piece of art (and we spent quite a lot of it). The lyrics are also 100% us. We won’t use AI here neither. And: We are a underground band that doesn’t make money with our music.
We would not use AI for pictures or videos if we were painters, designers, graphic artists or filmmakers. Maybe then we would use AI for background music of an exhibition.
As we said we will use AI just for coverartwork etc. in the future to visualize our own imaginations and visions and to be creative ourselves. We used graphic painting apps in the past. Today we use graphic apps and AI and develop our imaginations by ourselve. We do not have the time and money to develop these ideas with painters, designers etc. The new result you see visiualizes our imaginations, our music and our lyrical concept. The final result by the help from AI was also edited in many hours by ourselves and not the little effort of just a 5 minute AI prompt.

For us, this statement might even be unnecessary, since those of us who know the band are well aware that Adorned Graves does things the old-school way—both musically and in terms of production in general—but it doesn’t hurt to address some know-it-all who’s always nitpicking, thinking he’s the authority on what is and isn’t IA.
