A New Compilation CD Is Now Available | Primal Releases “Fin De Los Tiempos”
It had been a while since we’d heard any news from Primal, but the announcement we made here through Glenn Rogers, the band’s guitarist, regarding the imminent release of a CD exclusive to Mexico has finally come to fruition. The album is titled “Fin De Los Tiempos” and is now available through the Mexican label Old Skull Records.
The band, consisting of Alberto Zamarbide on vocals, Glenn Rogers on guitar, Jorge Iacobellis on drums, and Cesar Ceregatti on bass, has already released two albums: “Primal” in 2016 and ‘Humachine’ in 2023, in addition to the EP “Iron Age,” released last year. Now it’s time for “Fin De Los Tiempos,” a sort of compilation of tracks from Primal’s entire discography.

Indeed, Glenn Rogers, the band’s guitarist, told us about “Fin De Los Tiempos” (which means “End Times”): “We wanted to make our music available to the fans in Mexico because it is expensive to buy import cd’s. The cd is a comp cd featuring 14 songs from our last albums “Primal”, “Humachine” and “Iron Age”; so in this new release, you’ll find a collection of Primal’s most compelling material, in a special physical edition made specifically for people in Mexico.
That’s the most interesting news regarding Primal as a band right now, but we’re taking this opportunity to find out what the group has in mind for the future. “For this year we have a few things going on”, says Glenn Rogers. “As you know the Mexico release of “Fin De Los Tiempos”. In July we will release through Roxx Records the digital release of “Iron Age” so fans can download (we already have our physical copy of it, which you can check out in our reviews section). Per sale starts July 1 and the release will be July 17th”, he confirmed.
On the other hand, regarding Primal’s live performances, Glenn told us, “For live shows we are looking at going to Europe for a festival in November and hopefully some shows in Mexico to support the album”, he assures us. And apparently, the band is slowly starting to work on new material. “A new album is in the works. We are in the writing process. There is no time set for release. We are just starting”, Primal’s experienced guitarist told us, but he also revealed that “We new songs are just in the beginning phase. I have about 4 songs mapped out. We plan to record 9 or 10 new songs. That will take some time”, so it’s almost certain we’ll have to wait a while before new stuff from Primal sees the light of day.

Both 2025 and this year have seen Alberto Zamarbide perform on his tour of Argentina, revisiting legendary albums such as V8’s “Un Paso Más En La Batalla” and Logos’ “Generación Mutante,” and this year marks the 40th anniversary of “El Fin De Los Inicuos,” the last album V8 ever released. In any case, Primal remains active, releasing a new album—a compilation, to be sure—but moving forward with new plans and a possible new album on the horizon. We’ll just have to wait and see, and in the meantime, “Fin De Los Tiempos” is now available, as we mentioned, through the Mexican label Old Skull Records. Below, we’ve included the details on how to get Primal’s new CD and, of course, the title track from this compilation…
