Santa Fe White Metal No. 6 – November 2005
Within the so-called White Metal movement, Santa Fe White Metal was undoubtedly the best, or one of the best fanzines ever published. With its seriousness, consistency, good articles, and information, this publication was light years ahead of the rest, and the craziest thing of all is that it was distributed for free!
Santa Fe White Metal was, and still is, an example of what happens when you want to do things seriously in support of the Metal scene, putting everything into it, even financially, since it is not easy to sustain a publication without an income that covers the expenses involved in running a media outlet.
Metal was never, is not, and will never be a “lucrative business.” It’s a sure bet for financial loss, and this kind of thing is what motivates us to keep going, and I hope it also motivates others to do things instead of complaining about everything and not doing what needs to be done.
This is issue number 6 of the fanzine, when it was still in black and white. Even so, here we can read interesting interviews with underground bands such as Hebrón, Doble Filo, Tercer Día, the memorable Darcon, album reviews, and information about Bloodwork, Teramaze, Treasure Seeker, Stryper, etc. The design and content, as always, are of high quality, considering the limited resources available to greenlight such a publication, which was also distributed free of charge.
For those who want to get a copy and read this super interesting fanzine, as usual, you’ll find the download link for this edition in PDF format below…
