The project by Alberto Zamarbide (formerly of V8 and Logos) alongside Glenn Rogers (formerly of Deliverance, Hirax, and Heretic, among others), Cesar Ceregatti (formerly of Steel Vengeance), and Jorge Iacobellis (formerly of TTM and Hirax, among others) is moving forward with its plans. Following the release of their latest EP, “Iron Age” (which you can read our review of here), Primal is preparing for two upcoming shows. The first will be on August 21 at the famous and legendary “Whiskey A Go Go,” in the heart of Sunset Street in Los Angeles, California. “We have been rehearsing for the Whiskey show”, Glenn assures us, “We get about a 10 song set. I am told it will be recorded and videoed so the might be a live thing in the future. The headliner is my former band Heretic.”

But that’s not all, Primal will also perform in Mexico on October 25 as part of the “Hunab Ku Fest” festival in Mérida, Yucatán, alongside other bands. Incidentally, Primal’s guitarist mentioned that “I hope that will “Open the door” for us to return in 2026. Our singer Beto is returning to Argentina in September for some solo shows to celebrate V8 and Logos Anniversary. I think after that Primal will return.”

It seems that Primal is not slowing down, and according to Glenn Rogers, “I have started writing songs for a new release. EP or LP I’m not sure yet. We will also look for more shows for 2026. We hope to visit Europe and South America again.” Regarding Primal’s style, that exquisite blend of traditional Metal and Thrash Metal, Glenn states that “I like to write what I feel. Thrash will always be apart of the sound. It’s what I’m known for. I think you have to keep it heavy.”
Unfortunately, while we were having this conversation about the future of Primal, the sad news of Ozzy Osbourne’s passing reached our ears. “Sad news about Ozzy. I think he left in a big way after his last concert. He will be missed.” Rogers stated.

So, while we wait for Zamarbide’s shows in Argentina to celebrate the anniversaries of V8’s “Un Paso Más En La Batalla” and Logos’ “Generación Mutante” in September this year, Primal is preparing for what’s to come. Will it be a live album? A new EP or LP? In the meantime, we leave you with the band’s official channels so you can stay tuned for their latest news and the band’s latest official video clip, as a way to prepare for what’s coming from Primal…
