As we mentioned a while back, Lázaro, the hybrid metal band from the southern part of Buenos Aires, is releasing two new songs online. In this case, they are covers of “Diferentes Actitudes Juveniles” by BOD and “Que Todo Sea Para Bien” by NDI; both songs are emblematic of the early 90s hardcore movement known as “Buenos Aires Hardcore” (or better known by its acronym BAHC).

According to the band itself, the inspiration and idea for this tribute was motivated by the fact that “In the 90s, there was an underground music movement that had positive lyrics and attitudes regarding respect for others, friendship, unity, and care for the mind and body. Buenos Aires HardCore BAHC was the movement that inspired us musically (along with other bands outside of hardcore) to start making our own music with the lyrics we wanted to sing.”
This release seems to foreshadow what is to come for Lázaro. Some time ago, Hernán Parafioriti told us that “…we are preparing our own material. We have several songs ready, with plans for a few more, to see if we can make a whole album this year. Not releasing individual tracks, but releasing an album. That’s kind of the idea we’ve been talking about, but there’s no demo for that yet.“ Let’s remember that Lázaro has two albums released to date (”No Más Vendas“ in 1997 and ”Crear O Reventar“ in 1999) plus a live album (”Escenarios” from 2001), in addition to several appearances on compilation albums, so a new album is imperative.

Although Lázaro has not performed live for a long time, the band has remained active, releasing the occasional new song through social media, such as “Lo Profundo” and “Cómo,” which were released in 2024 in digital format.
For now, here are the two new tracks. Both “Diferentes Actitudes Juveniles” and “Que Todo Sea Para Bien”…
