Eric Clayton gives us a sneak peek at some of the details | Saviour Machine Documentary Series Coming Soon
It’s a pity that Saviour Machine, as a band, has ceased to exist. Those of us who, through the years, have enjoyed their music and their amazing productions, will be left wanting to hear something new, or even that second part of “Legend III” that was never released. At least that’s what Eric Clayton told us, “Saviour Machine is not active as a band in a traditional sense, (not for many, many years) but there is a huge Saviour Machine´s project in production at the moment”; and continuing in that line he stated that “There are absolutely no plans to record brand new Saviour Machine material…”
If there are any future plans, we can’t know. What does appear on the near horizon is the release of the documentary series “Christians + Lunatics – The Story Of Saviour Machine”, which has Eric Clayton quite busy in terms of its production and upcoming release in the summer of this year. “This is a comprehensive 10 part documentary series on the early history of the band. The origin story ends early years, from 1988 through 1995“, he told us. He also mentioned to us that “This documentary will span over 12 hours in running time and feature more “unreleased and never before seen or heard footage” than anyone could ever possibly fathom.”

Of course, we will be waiting for the premiere of this interesting documentary, which will soon be released through youtube and surely facebook. It is a good opportunity to delve into the history of the band, which is good to remember, they were ahead in the matter of “Theatrical Rock” with their spectacular style of “Symphonic Gothic Metal”, with a precursor style, and as well says the preview that circulates on youtube, before Type O Negative, Paradise Lost, Rammstein or Marilyn Manson or even Ghost, yes gentlemen, before all that existed Saviour Machine. It may be controversial, but it is still true.
