The band’s name may seem strange, but it doesn’t seem so odd once you get used to Yumhji’s sound and come to appreciate their style. Metalcore + Post-Hardcore is what Yumhji embodies in every line, in every song. With bands like Bring Me the Horizon and The Devil Wears Prada as potential influences on their style, the Argentine band has its own unique take on the genre.
Yumhji is an Argentine band that, as we mentioned, fuses the power of Metalcore with the emotional depth of post-hardcore. Their sound blends vulnerability and intensity, exploring themes of pain, memory, and transformation through an intense and honest vocal delivery.

Indeed, if there’s one thing Yumhji conveys through their music, it’s a range of emotions, driven primarily by the intensity of lead singer Fabiana Olivares’s voice. The rest of Yumhji consists of Juan Lopez on guitar and production, Ulises Ochova on drums, and Agustin Riveri on bass.
They have already released their debut album, titled “En Memoria De Todas Mis Penas”, which is available on all digital platforms, marking the beginning of an introspective and visceral phase, where each song serves as both an emotional exorcism and an artistic manifesto.
Standout tracks from this album include “Dios Solo Guarda Silencio” and “Cementerio”, featuring Jjesu. Two music videos for these songs have been released on social media, showcasing the direction Yumhji is taking with their music and the seriousness and professionalism with which they approach this project.
Beyond that first official album—released only in digital format for now—Yumhji is currently promoting their first EP, titled “Represalia,” from which two singles have already been previewed on social media and digital platforms; These are the tracks “Culpa Mía” and “Defendete,” which showcase a shift in the band’s sound, leaning toward more aggressive structures, a more intense approach, and more pronounced breakdowns.

“Represalia,” their latest EP, was just released, and in addition to the aforementioned preview singles, this EP features the tracks “Cortada Y Pecado,” “Nada Que Hablar,” and “Represalia,” which gives the EP its name. The cover art is strikingly eye-catching and unsettling—it certainly makes an impression. Without a doubt, it’s a great effort in terms of production, creativity, and the drive to deliver top-notch work.
But that’s not all—Yumhji plans to perform “Represalia” live, and the show is set for August 21 at the “Centro Cultural Meta,” located at Gral. Rodriguez 321, Monte Grande, where they’ll share the stage with Hisashi, Caktto, and Mirash. Tickets can be purchased at https://alpogo.com, and will likely be available at the venue as well. It’s a great opportunity not only to see Yumhji perform live but also to enjoy a great evening with the latest sounds from the scene.

And of course, we’re going to share here the two music videos from Yumhji’s latest album—specifically for the songs “Culpa Mía” and “Defendete”—so you can get a sense of their style, as well as the band’s social media handles so you can follow them and stay up to date on their latest news…
