Patrick Best Gives Us A Sneak Peek At The Band's Next Steps | Ritual Servant Doesn’t Stop
You’ve probably noticed how much we rave about them, but honestly, we’re not exaggerating when we say that Ritual Servant is one of the best things to come out of the Thrash Metal scene in recent years. “Mendacius,” their latest release to date, is what won us over; an album that gives you no respite and recaptures the essence of old-school Thrash Metal with an explosive sound. It literally leaves you deaf.
With all that in mind, and considering that Ritual Servant always seems to be working on new material, we decided to exchange a few words with Patrick Best, the band’s guitarist and vocalist, who told us that, beyond “Mendacius,” Ritual Servant has been promoting three new singles: “The Prodigal” and “Prepare The Way,” released in 2025, and “Sacrum Convivium,” the latter released in February of this year. “Those two songs and ‘Sacrum Convivium’ that will be on our upcoming third record,” Patrick revealed, adding, “Keep watch as more full studio album news will be unveiling this summer.”

But beyond the new album that Ritual Servant is preparing to release in the middle of this year, they also recorded a series of live sessions titled “Scriptured Sessions: Volume 1”; in a sort of concert/rehearsal in the studio, Ritual Servant played several songs from their repertoire live, which was recorded and documented. While this material has been released on social media, the band plans to officially release it soon. So far, only four songs from those sessions have been released.
Regarding this, Patrick Best told us: “Scriptured Sessions” came from our third rehearsal as a full band as we decided to see what we would sound like live when we started playing gigs. We ran a flat mix and to our surprise and much delight it, as we like to say, was pure Holy Spirit fire, so we decided to release a series, this session being Volume 1 and call it Scriptured Sessions.”

The purpose of these sessions may be to lay the groundwork for what’s coming down the road: the possibility of starting to play live and perform at various venues. “We wanted something honest, live, raw and real that was unpolished and unproduced as well as give our fans something they’d never seen before, a full band playing live”, Patrick told us, which in these times of so much technology and AI, is worth a lot. A band playing Thrash Metal—fast, furious, and raw, without any subtlety or sonic embellishment—is what stands out most in these sessions.
But the news doesn’t end there—or rather, the upcoming projects Ritual Servant has set its sights on. According to what the band’s guitarist and singer told us, “Those two songs (“The Prodigal” and “Prepare The Way”), and ‘Sacrum Convivium’ (released on February 26) will be on the third album. Also we have an official music video shoot 6-12-26 for this latest track.”
He also told us that plans are in the works for “a physical release of Scriptured Sessions volume 1 and digital streaming option, finishing the full third album and working with production companies on live gigs and possible festival appearances…God willing”, a sign that the 2026 schedule is shaping up to be quite full for Ritual Servant, a band that is slowly but surely growing, and has what it takes. Their sound, on the one hand, takes us back to the old and glorious days of Thrash Metal, but they also showcase the evolution of the genre without losing its essence.

We’ll have to stay tuned. As mentioned, the official music video for “Sacrum Convivium” premieres on June 12, but that’s not all—the band has released the singles “The Prodigal” and “Prepare The Way,” all of which will be included on their upcoming studio album. And as if that weren’t enough, the “Scriptured Sessions” are also available on social media.
And to get you ready for what’s coming, we’ve included below one of the songs released in the “Scriptured Sessions”—specifically the track “Seven Trumpets,” performed live in the studio— but we also recommend keeping an eye out for the official release of the music video for “Sacrum Convivium,” the new track from Ritual Servant. To that end, here are the band’s social media links so you can follow them and be the first to hear their latest news….
