The Slovak band Signum Regis decided to take the plunge, sign with Fireflash Records, and release their new album, titled “Beyond Spacetime,” in 2026. This will be their eighth studio album and the natural successor to “Undivided,” released in 2023, although in reality, the band’s most recent release was the re-recording and reissue of “The Eyes Of Power” in 2025—both albums previously discussed and reviewed by us.

“Beyond Spacetime” will be officially released on October 9 of this year, and it already appears to be Signum Regis’s biggest venture to date, discographically speaking. The band is holding nothing back, and as a preview, they present “Throne Of Gold,” featuring Matt Smith (Theocracy) on vocals and Victor Smolski (ex-Rage) on guitars, resulting in a sublime track centered on Signum Regis’s more classic side with their well-known melodic power metal style. According to the band, “Throne Of Gold” was composed many years ago but was completely reworked for this new album, with Matt Smith’s exquisite vocals adding great brilliance to the track and an impressive guitar solo by Victor Smolski, just as we’ve come to expect from his days in Rage.
But the aforementioned guests won’t be the only ones making an appearance on “Beyond Spacetime”; we’ll also find the likes of Ripper Owens (ex-Judas Priest and ex-Iced Earth), Ralf Scheepers (Primal Fear), Johnny Gioeli (Hardline and Axel Rudi Pell), Tasos Lazaris (Steel Arctus, White Wizzard), and David Åkesson (Symphonity and Quantice), in addition to the return of Mayo Petranin to Signum Regis—the band’s former lead singer—who will, of course, be lending his vocals alongside his successor, Jota Fortinho. A true dream team of guests. A true dream team of guests.

According to the band’s own statement, “Signing a new contract is a major milestone in the life of a band. We are confident that Fireflash Records will be the perfect partner for us in the years ahead. We trust Markus, and we believe that under the Fireflash Records flag, we will be able to navigate the stormy waters of the current music industry and achieve more than ever before”, they affirmed.
Regarding “Beyond Spacetime,” Filip Kolus noted that “We are so satisfied and proud of it! Even though the last 3 years were not easy for the band, this is definitely not just a “next” Signum Regis” album, we are a band, we are always aiming to create something special – for us, and for fans”; In fact, Filip was the one who handled the mixing and production of the album, with a clear vision for this new work: “that it will be completely different compared to our common production and we wanted to keep it in the way we saw it as a musicians. We jumped out of our basic style, we were experimenting with new things in the studio a lot, we teleported King Rex from the ground to space – which sounds crazy, but that’s how it was supposed to be!”
The final mastering was handled by Miro Kiiski (Beast In Black and Hypocrisy, among others), which was another perfect fit for the band. Meanwhile, the band has already unveiled the cover art for the new album, and with “Throne Of Gold,” we have plenty to enjoy while we wait for a new lead single to prepare us for the full immersion into “Beyond Spacetime,” set for release this October.
