Also Announces Tour With Demon Hunter | Wolves At The Gate Releases New Single

It seems that demon hunters and the wolves at the gate get along well and go hunting together. So it’s no surprise that both Wolves At The Gate and Demon Hunter are embarking on a tour together this fall (our spring on this side of the world) through various cities in the United States.
Demon Hunter continues to promote their latest album, which brought them to Argentina in 2025; we’re referring, of course, to “There Was A Light Here.”
As for Wolves At The Gate, the situation is quite different. Although they also have “Wasteland” as their most recent release, the fact is that in the lead-up to this tour—which kicks off on October 7 at the Mercury Ballroom in Louisville, KY—Wolves At The Gate released a new track, in the form of a single available on all digital platforms, titled “Letterkills,” which is accompanied by a “visualizer” video.

“Letterkills” continues the story arc where “Wasteland” left off, with the character climbing toward healing, only to discover that the very things he believed would save him were slowly destroying him”, the band says, referencing their last album released in 2025.
This raises the question of whether a new Wolves At The Gate album is on the way; for now, there are no further details, but the overall tone of “Letterkills” suggests it serves as a preview of a new album that continues the story established in “Wasteland”. Still, more news regarding Wolves At The Gate is expected soon, as announced.
For those who aren’t very familiar with Wolves At The Gate, it’s worth noting that the metalcore band has evolved quietly and naturally since its emergence around 2008. Their sound has developed over the course of albums such as as “Captors” (2012), “VxV” (2014), “Types And Shadows” (2016), “Eclipse” (2019), and “Eulogies” (2022).
Throughout their career, the band has amassed tens of millions of streams thanks to tracks like “Counterfeit”, “Deadman”, “Lowborn”, “Peace That Starts the War”, and many more, in addition to having performed alongside bands of the caliber of Fit For A King, August Burns Red, and Born Of Osiris, among others.

By 2024, a fundamental idea occurred to Wolves At The Gate guitarist Steve Cobucci, setting the creative direction for the band’s next evolutionary stage. Slowly but surely, it began to seep into the DNA of their music and lyrics. The result was the album “Wasteland”, released in 2025, which we’ve had the opportunity to obtain, listen to, and analyze—a review of which we’ve included below.
