We’ve already had the chance to talk about them, but just in case, let’s briefly revisit their history. Torre Firme is a band from the western suburbs of Buenos Aires that formed in 2019, the same year they made their live debut. The 2020 pandemic and the resulting social isolation complicated the band’s plans, but even so, they remained active by releasing an EP titled “Héroe Inmortal” and several singles, all in digital format.
After performing at several local shows, they brought on the band’s current keyboardist (Sabrina Torres), and recently brought on the well-known Eduardo “Turu” Paredes as their new vocalist. Paredes has extensive experience in the music scene and balances his role in Torre Firme with his current work alongside Ícaro, Lazos De Fuego, and his solo project; he previously told us how he came to join the band.
In fact, Torre Firme’s lineup is rounded out by Dario Torres and Fernando Porciel on guitars, Gabriel Acosta on bass, and Esteban Escubilla on drums, in addition to Paredes on vocals and Sabrina Torres on keyboards.

The last news we’d heard about Torre Firme was a re-recording of three of the band’s older songs. Namely: “Aquí Estaré,” “Razón De Vivir,” and “Juicio,” which were recorded with Eduardo “Turu” Paredes on vocals. Now it’s time for a new release—an EP currently available only digitally—titled “Renacer Y Ser Libre,” which they’ve just recorded and released.
The new EP contains three new tracks that delve deeper into the power metal vein Torre Firme had already been exploring in previous releases. With a clear influence from bands like Stratovarius, Torre Firme takes us into a more classic and fast-paced territory, as we can hear in “El Fuego,” a track with a classic and refined style, showcasing the best the genre has to offer. It features a fast-paced rhythm and choruses perfect for singing along with a raised fist.
“Cambiar” is a much more elaborate and profound song, with a much stronger influence from classic and melodic heavy metal, featuring “Turu” Paredes showcasing part of his incredible vocal range and the classic double-bass guitar solos that have become almost a trademark of Torre Firme. We also find “El Fin De Los Tiempos,” with much heavier riffs closer to combative, mid-tempo heavy metal, making it a true battle anthem.
What stands out most about this new Torre Firme album is its production—much more refined—and the mixing work that gives it superior sound quality, emphasizing much more complex compositions with far better balance between guitars, bass, and drums, complemented by a keyboard backdrop that lends an epic and climactic feel to the band’s sound.
We’re not exaggerating when we say that Torre Firme is the real deal. With “Renacer Y Ser Libre,” the band takes a step forward, delivering songs that sound fierce and classic, combining the speed of power metal with the power of warrior-like, combative Heavy Metal.

Meanwhile, Torre Firme is currently performing this new material live, and in fact, a few days ago we had the opportunity to see them perform live alongside Ícaro, during which they took the chance to showcase part of this new material.
Below, we’ve included the links to follow Torre Firme on social media and stay updated on their upcoming dates. As always, we’re also sharing a lyric video for “El Fuego,” a track from Torre Firme’s latest album—which we highly recommend listening to and, why not, sharing as well… And while we’re at it, here’s the interview we did with Eduardo “Turu” Paredes—an interesting conversation…
