Does The End Justify The Means?
We live in an age where anyone can say anything. It doesn’t matter how it’s said, what matters is the end justification. So every day we come across opinion makers who defend anything and everything, under the umbrella of ends and motives. We have even reversed the terms, assigning definitions to what used to be one way, but turning it around to better suit our own opinions, and justifying implausible inventions to make them sound credible. Not to mention the paranoid, who, from watching too much “The X Files,” see international and even cosmological conspiracies under the table. Misrepresentations? They are the order of the day, and not only historical ones, but of all kinds and types.
All this hodgepodge in order to justify things that, in truth, are not understood. We have lost our compass and our horizon, and mental confusion reigns in people’s heads. There are so many means used, so much stupidity, that we ultimately forget what the end goal was.
And the truth remains on the streets. The truth doesn’t matter, that much is clear. The philosophical theory that truth is ultimately a construct seems to have taken shape in this era in a way that even Michel Foucault himself could not have imagined, and everyone tells it as they wish, and as it best suits their thinking.
We forget that “the truth will set you free,” which is ultimately much more than just a random phrase from the Bible, and which also comes from the mouth of Jesus Christ himself. It is the key to escaping all that media rubbish that distances us from reality day after day. Because reality is not found on social media, in speeches, in the media, or in ideas constructed to justify extreme ideologies.
No, we are not here to preach. There are people much better equipped than us for that, and it is not even our intention to lecture. Far from it. This is just one thought, but it has a lot to do with what we are experiencing today.
We defend faith, hope, and truth. The knowledge that there is much more beyond what our eyes cannot see, or do not want to see. Religious institutions are part of what we described above. That is why, personally, we are not guided by any religious or institutional zeal, as we are simply not interested in it. Something else moves us.
From the beginning, we set out to spread Metal with Christian content, but also to promote many Argentine bands regardless of their creed, as we add, we do not subtract or create ghettos. We are all in Metal, so that’s where we’re going. The idea is to share, not divide. For some, Christian rock or Christian Metal may be a business or a way of making a living, or of being seen somewhere. We are on a different wavelength.
That’s why we like to emphasize the underground spirit of metal. What self-management, independence, and hard work are all about. We aim for the same thing, which is why we always emphasize that we don’t make money from this. Quite the contrary, but the profit comes from elsewhere.
This last month of the year will be our 10th month online. Yes, we’ve been bothering the web with this project for nine months now. And as if it were no big deal, we have several dates we plan to attend, several pending articles, and of course, we continue to review physical albums, as always, and emphasize the true spirit of Heavy Metal!!!!!
We’ll see you in 2026, although we should clarify that we’ll be taking a well-deserved vacation at the beginning of the year, but this will continue, and God willing, it will continue!!!!
And as always, stand firm together with Metal!!!!
