“Holy Night” Is The Preview Of Their New Album | Stryper Already Has Their “Holy Night”
It had already been announced that at the end of 2025, Stryper would release their new album titled “The Greatest Gift Of All,” which will be available starting November 21. In anticipation of this new work, Stryper has just released a lyric video for the song “On This Holy Night,” which will be part of the new album. Unlike the previous album (“When We Were Kings”), Stryper seems to be going for a heavier, more overloaded sound and a lower tone. In any case, “On This Holy Night” maintains the melodies for which Stryper is known. Ultimately, if anyone thought that “The Greatest Gift Of All” would just be a collection of Stryper-style Christmas songs, it seems that’s not the case. There’s much more to it than that.

Regarding Stryper’s decision to release this song on Halloween, the band said, “We wanted to release a song that is dark and heavy yet describes how the world has taken ‘Jesus’ out of Christmas. What better way (or day) to release a song like this? Halloween! This song exemplifies everything that we are as a band, lyrically and musically.”
According to the press release, with “The Greatest Gift of All,” Stryper responds to decades of requests from their fans by creating a Christmas album that combines holiday classics, brand new compositions, and their unmistakable blend of faith, power, and metal energy. And watch out, to make this release even more special, “The Greatest Gift of All” will be available exclusively in physical format. Good call, guys!!! Fans will be able to enjoy a collectible edition that captures the spirit of the season in true old-school style.
Stryper’s lineup remains as solid as ever, with founding members Michael Sweet, Robert Sweet, and Oz Fox joined by bassist Perry Richardson. Together, the band continues to deliver their best both in the studio and on stage.
The new album arrives on the heels of Stryper’s hugely successful world tour celebrating the 40th anniversary of their formation and the landmark album ‘When We Were Kings.’ With sold-out performances across the United States, Europe, and South America, the tour reaffirmed the group’s status as one of the most enduring and influential forces in Christian rock and Heavy Metal.
With over 10 million albums sold worldwide, multiple Billboard Top 40 hits, and a legacy spanning four decades, Stryper continue to inspire generations of fans. ‘The Greatest Gift of All’ marks a powerful new chapter in that legacy, a heartfelt and celebratory album that channels the band’s hard rock fire into the timeless spirit of Christmas.

Finally, Michael Sweet comments on the new album, “We have wanted to record a Christmas album for many years. Ever since we released our first single (‘Reason for the Season’) back in 1985, the fans have been asking for a full length Christmas album. Well, the time has finally come. We wanted to make an album of five traditional songs and five original songs. To put our own spin on our own Christmas album and not follow the pack so to speak. We could not be more pleased with how it turned out!”
“The Greatest Gift Of All” will be available on November 21, 2025, apparently only in physical format (CD and vinyl), through Frontiers Music SRL.
