The Brazilians Release “Eclipse Of The Rising Sun” | Sunroad Goes For A New Album
The Brazilian band Sunroad has a well-earned reputation. Thanks to an extensive career—both in Brazil and abroad—and a substantial number of albums released over more than 20 years, it’s safe to say they’re already a classic in the Christian Rock and Metal scene.
Their style is quite difficult to define or label, but basically, Sunroad’s sound spans progressive rock, AOR, hard rock, and that distinctive connection to Metal, which in some way ties them to the Metal crowd, despite their fusion with genres other than Heavy Metal.

The fact is, Sunroad has something new in the works. It’s their upcoming studio album, titled “Eclipse Of The Rising Sun,” which will be officially released on October 30 of this year via Roxx Records. To promote the release of this new album, the band has released the official music video for the track “Blind Spot” as a lead single.
With an unmistakable vibe of ’80s Hard Rock, Sunroad delivers in “Blind Spot” a true display of power and super-heavy guitars, along with that rock ’n’ roll spirit that, ultimately, hasn’t been lost entirely—thanks to bands like Sunroad who remain true to the old school of Rock and Metal.
The album, set for release in October, will be available on CD and distributed throughout North America, Europe, and Japan, and will be available for streaming on digital platforms.
According to the announcement, the album will be released on CD and distributed across North America, Europe, and Japan, with streaming available on digital platforms. The record captures the essence of Sunroad’s career, showcasing stronger musicianship, deeper lyrical themes, and refined songwriting. Its title reflects talented people who, because of mistakes or missed opportunities in their youth their “rising sun” they never fully reach their potential and are ultimately eclipsed.
The cover art for “Eclipse Of The Rising Sun” stays true to the band’s aesthetic from previous albums, featuring the unmistakable figure of the iguana—almost like Sunroad’s mascot—which, naturally, couldn’t be left out of the new album.

Reportedly, album features twelve songs, along with contributions from talented guest musicians. “If Only” delivers an emotional message about abandoned and neglected animals, while “Spiritual” explores inner growth and personal awakening. “Insane Is the Night” honors firefighters and paramedics, and “Burnout” addresses the stress and pressure of modern work life. “Angels Found” is a cry for God’s intervention, “Sun Is Dark” reflects on inhumanity and collective coldness, and “Final Act” looks toward the Apocalypse, among other themes. As Sunroad prepares for the official album release on October 30, the band will unveil three singles, starting with the aforementioned “Blind Spot”, whose official music video we’ve included below so you can get a taste of what’s new from Sunroad.
And as always, we’re also providing the contact information for both Roxx Records and the band, so you can stay up to date on the latest news regarding this new release, which, as we mentioned, will be officially released on October 30, both on CD and on digital platforms.
