RUIDO Presents The EP “6 Monedas Para Caronte” | Heavy Riffs From The Cuyano Desert
It was about time we heard something in this key. Heavy, low-pitched sounds and riffs, something different. RUIDO is an Argentine band from the province of Mendoza that promises to take us through the desert of density made music.
With a style based on stoner rock, doom, and sludge, RUIDO offers us an interesting journey down a psychedelic path that takes us through the desert of raw and heavy sounds.
They have just released an EP entitled “6 Monedas Para Caronte,” which features five original songs and serves as a calling card for this more than interesting band.
“6 Monedas Para Caronte” was recorded between July and September 2025 at Estudios Bonsai (San Juan), entirely live, reflecting RUIDO’s identity as a band and the path they have been traveling within the heavy scene in the interior of the country.

The band is made up of Germán Trigueiro on vocals, Ariel Karlen on guitar, Rober Aguilar on bass, and Horacio Aguilar as a guest drummer on this recording.
As you can imagine, RUIDO is a collection of influences ranging from Black Sabbath to Kyuss and everything that is Stoner and Doom. There we can find songs like “Al Límite De Dios,” a disturbing and stirring song with tremolo riffs and guitar solos as psychedelic as the band’s sound. But that’s nothing. “Estigia” has its own thing going on. A dragging riff, overloaded guitars, and a bass that sounds torn apart.
We also find “Caronte,” another song with a “Sabbath-like” rhythm, while ‘Limbo’ takes us through a much more doom-like sound, with that tempo so characteristic of the genre. “Dioses Del Norte” is another of the gems we can find on this more than interesting EP.
Best of all is the sound that RUIDO achieves, in a recording that maintains the essence of natural sound, without any studio embellishment. RUIDO sounds rough, heavy, with strong, psychedelic guitars. It’s really worth a listen.
Below, we leave you with the complete EP so you can listen to this interesting band, and of course, their social media accounts, so you can follow them and stay tuned for their latest news…
