“The Blind Leading Blind” Premieres February 13... | New Single And New EP For Fear Not
A while back, we were promised a full album, but it seems that the time isn’t right for that yet. Instead, Fear Not has officially announced that it is preparing a new EP to be released in March of this year. We still don’t know the title, but to give us a taste of what’s to come, the band is preparing a new single titled “The Blind Leading Blind,” which will be released digitally via social media on February 13 (if it’s not already in rotation when you read this).

2025 saw the band very active, having released the EP “Weight Of The World” along with the single “Crashin’ Down.” At that time, Fear Not’s longtime guitarist, Larry Worley, told us about the material, saying, “It is a preview of what’s to come! When I first started writing for the new album it was leaning more towards the 80’s style metal but as I kept coming up with ideas things seemed to get a little heavier vibe so I went with it. The guys really liked the direction and when they came in with their parts I knew we had something pretty good and more in our wheel house.”
“The Blind Leading Blind” is part of the same process, and of course, so is the new EP that the band will be releasing soon. Fear Not pleasantly surprised us with “Weight Of The World”; we expect nothing less.
It seems that Fear Not is heading in a slightly different direction than we knew back in the ’90s. Larry Worley himself told us a while back that “We always tell ourselves “no law, no rules” when writing new material. Meaning we don’t have any preconceived ideas or direction that we are trying to create. What ever ideas I come up with I send to the guys and most of the time they like what I came up with and I just start moving ahead with it. It’s definitely a little more heavier than the 1993 and Fields of Sorrow. But somehow always ends up sounding like us! Eddie’s will sometimes ask me to write a certain way to the lyrics he has as well. He’ll say make this heavy or do this with a bluesy swampy sound. But like I said it always sounds like Fear Not in the end.”

Fear Not’s return to the scene doesn’t seem to be just a reunion to reminisce about old times. The band is active again and eager to continue recording new stuff. Larry Worley acknowledges this, telling us a while back that “We were contacted by Roxx records about releasing the 1993 as a remaster on Vinyl so I contacted the guys and mind you we haven’t really spoken in years and we all agreed. About that same time we had some friends who set up just a jam weekend for us so we got together played some of the old songs and just felt natural so we knew God was up to something and decided to start writing and doing shows again and it has been an absolute blessing and we will continue to keep on keeping on until the Lord completes what he has for Fear Not.”
Will Fear Not continue in the same vein that surprised us on “Weight Of The World”? We’ll find out in a few days. “The Blind Leading Blind” is about to be revealed….
Here’s our full review of Fear Not’s latest EP and, of course, the details for keeping up with the band’s latest news…
