Finally, what many have been waiting for has been confirmed. P.O.D. and Demon Hunter are extending their Latin American tour, announcing that in addition to the six shows they will perform in Brazil, they will also perform on December 15 in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and on December 17 in Santiago, Chile.

P.O.D. needs little introduction. After a career spanning more than 30 years and with several classic albums under their belt (including their best work, “The Fundamental Elements Of Southtown,” “Satellite,” etc.), the band is currently presenting their latest album, “Veritas,” which was released in 2024. Let’s remember that last year they toured Chile, Brazil, and Colombia, completely bypassing our country, so the December 15 date feels like revenge for their most die-hard fans. Let’s also remember that in March of this year, P.O.D. re-released the single “I Won’t Bow Down” in digital format, introducing a chorus entirely in Spanish and featuring an old friend of the band: renowned vocalist Andrés Giménez from the Argentine band A.N.I.M.A.L. (Will they be part of the lineup too?), wanting in some way to further deepen their connection with Spanish-speaking fans.
It should also be noted that just a few weeks ago, Payable On Death (the meaning of the famous acronym) released a cover of The Beatles. The now famous “Don’t Let Me Down” is already circulating on social media, sounding like only P.O.D. can make it sound.
Finally, it should be noted that this will be the third time that P.O.D. has set foot on Argentine soil (remember that they already played here in 2010 and 2017), and this time alongside a band of the caliber of Demon Hunter, which in their case will be their second official visit, after that memorable show in 2013. The venue chosen for this date is the Arena Sur in Buenos Aires.

Demon Hunter has just released their latest album, “There Was A Light Here,” released in September of this year, and we will soon be publishing our review and opinion, in our own style. It should be noted that the band is currently presenting this album in the United States on a tour with War Of Ages, Cultist, and Convictions.
The shows on December 15 in Buenos Aires and December 17 in Santiago, Chile, are in addition to both bands’ tour of Brazil, where they will do a mini tour throughout the country, namely: December 5 in Sao Paulo, December 6 in Rio de Janeiro, December 7 in Recife, December 9 in Curitiba, December 10 in Belo Horizonte, December 12 in Brasilia, and finally December 13 in Sao Paulo.

A minor detail, which has only recently come to light, is that Oh!!! Surprise!!! Living Sacrifice is joining the tour, accompanying P.O.D. and Demon Hunter on the Brazilian dates of December 5 and 6, and nothing else. Those who were hoping that the legendary Living Sacrifice would set foot on Argentine soil or in another Latin American country will be disappointed, as due to scheduling issues, LS can only play the shows indicated. It’s a shame, but at the same time, it’s a wake-up call for those who produce shows, as Living Sacrifice is a historic band that many have been waiting for for years. We have received several messages from LS fans who are waiting for the band in Argentina and the rest of Latin America. I don’t know, check it out…
Another thing to note is that ticket prices (at least in Argentina) are similar to those in Brazil, which is no small detail. What has not yet been announced is whether there will be a VIP package along with the well-known “Meet And Greed” with P.O.D. (which is offered on the North American tour), especially for fans who enjoy that type of experience. In any case, here are the relevant links to buy tickets in Argentina, Brazil, and Chile.
One last piece of advice. Guys, don’t put “World Metal Powers” in the ads, because we don’t deny that they are powers, but… Metal… Metal is something else. We don’t want to sound like know-it-alls, but let’s be honest!
But since we’re not bad guys, here are the links to purchase tickets in Argentina, Chile, and Brazil, as well as the latest material that both P.O.D. and Demon Hunter have been releasing…
