The Old Works..

Third month online, and in this way we start another month, which we hope will bring more new things. As far as the website and the webzine are concerned, we will be adding something new and useful. Of course we will continue reviewing albums, telling us what the protagonists of the bands tell us (and not only reproduce what is published on the networks), and if possible, we will include some full interviews if time and God allows it.
It is not that I am insistent on the subject, but the famous phrase that goes around everywhere thanks to the series “El Eternauta” serves as a bridge to conclude the same as Favalli. Yes, the old stuff works, and we will not stop emphasizing it. It’s perfect that new technologies contribute to the distribution and diffusion of Metal, as well as the daily bombardment of the networks (in fact we also make use of it), but let’s not stop there. Music can be listened with better audio in formats like vinyl and compact disc, even if we want to go further, cassettes have their own thing when it comes to sound, but we are talking about the physical format, which cannot be lost, never. It is something that we will never stop remarking. One of the characteristics that makes people who are in Metal is the physical format. Let’s not lose that healthy habit.
As for this media, it would really be a dream to be able to edit in physical form a real magazine or fanzine, but this admits its drawbacks. It is not only the time involved but also the monetary investment and the distribution itself, so we applaud those who continue to do so, they really are heroes. We prefer to continue to stay on the web, but in blog or portal format, with access to publications written and edited in the most enjoyable and best way we can, with the best content we can have, in the style of the old fanzines, with the difference of being published on the internet.
It goes without saying that we have no support of any kind, and this works only with the effort we put in every day, and thanks to God, to the labels and bands that support us as well, and of course to those who follow us and share our publications. It is extremely important and it is appreciated! Please note that we do not have any monetary or advertising support. Everything you see comes out of our own pockets, and even the concerts we can go to cover, we do it by paying for our tickets accordingly. We are no heroes for it, we just do it for fun and because Metal is our passion and our way of life.
If the old stuff works, it occurs to me that it’s not just a matter of technology. In a world where 280 characters is what rules, idiocy is imposed, not to mention the extremist and fascist ideas that surround us. In all this collage of stupidity, there seems to be no place for the old values and principles that make us more human. What is more important is individualism and stepping on others. It seems that we have forgotten the old paths that lead us to truth, life, justice, true freedom, understanding of others, etc. Only hatred disguised in any way they like is valid. That is what we have in today’s world, but, as they said in another movie, we must never forget who the real enemy is.
There is no other way, you have to shuffle and turn over. The old is not only what really works, it is what makes us survive in an unjust world that, in spite of naming it for its own interests, systematically denies Christ with its works and thoughts. Let us not fall prey to the system that wants to impose its own thoughts on us, nor to the ideologies that want to sell us hatred of others. There is only one way, whether we want to see it or not is another story. ….
