The “El Fin De Los Inicuos” 40th Anniversary Tour Moves Forward | Zamarbide Continues His Tour, And La Cumbre Del Metal Is Coming
Alberto Zamarbide decided this year to pay tribute to V8’s album “El Fin De Los Inicuos” and, at the same time, celebrate the 40th anniversary of its original release back in late 1986.
“El Fin De Los Inicuos” was, at the time, somewhat controversial and hotly debated—especially due to the content of the lyrics on the included tracks, which reflected the band’s shift toward a Christian outlook—even though V8 always maintained, right up until the end, the rebellious and explosive style for which they were known. This, combined with the poor production the album received from the label the band was signed to, contributed to “El Fin De Los Inicuos” being one of the most underrated albums by V8 and in Argentine Metal of the ’80s—despite the gems it contains: great Heavy Metal anthems that have been captured and immortalized on that album.
“El Fin De Los Inicuos” contains nine powerful tracks, including “No Enloqueceré”, an old song from the band’s early days that appears here with different lyrics. Classics like “La Gran Ramera” or “Ciega Ambición”, the tremendous musical adaptation of Psalm 58 reimagined in V8’s signature sound, that anthem-like track “Trágico Siglo”, and more. It’s rare to find an album where every single track is a classic in its own right, and that’s exactly the case with “El Fin De Los Inicuos.”

To do it a bit justice, Zamarbide—who was V8’s lead singer throughout the band’s entire history—has decided to embark on a tour whose theme will be precisely the 40th anniversary of “El Fin De Los Inicuos.” During this tour, he will surely revisit some of those beloved old anthems of Argentine Heavy Metal alongside classics from V8’s two previous albums, such as “Luchando Por El Metal” and “Un Paso Más En La Batalla”—something Zamarbide has already been doing in recent years—along with the immortal classics by Logos, which are always worth revisiting.
After the memorable night at “Groove” in Palermo—a concert that was recorded and filmed for a future release—as well as performances in Córdoba, Pico Truncado, Uruguay, and Quilmes, Zamarbide promises more from this massive tour put together for the occasion.
The “40th Anniversary – El Fin De Los Inicuos” tour will continue in November with shows in Colombia and Ecuador, but Zamarbide will also headline the now-famous “Cumbre Del Metal” festival, in its 41st edition, which will feature two consecutive days of performances on November 13 and 14.
The November 13th show will be at “Auditorio Oeste” in Haedo, Morón, and will feature Zamarbide alongside King Drago, In-Dios, Nómade, Helker, and Azeroth; Meanwhile, the November 14th show will be at “Teatro Greison” in the town of Monte Grande, featuring ArdeMetal, Mathras, Ojos Negros, Werken, Hamvides, and Reinará La Tempestad.
In both cases, as always, a true celebration of Argentine Heavy Metal is expected—and for good reason. The “Cumbre Del Metal” is the longest-running festival in the history of Metal in Argentina, and also an unmissable opportunity to discover different acts and fly the flag for Metal high.
